InspectionWorld on the Road

InspectionWorld on the Road is an extension of ASHI’s primary InspectionWorld event, designed to bring the same high-quality educational content and networking opportunities to various regions across the US on a smaller scale through ASHI Chapters. It aims to make InspectionWorld and continuing education more accessible for home inspectors who might not be able to attend the larger, national event.

InspectionWorld on the Road highlights include:

Regional Focus:

Unlike the main InspectionWorld event, which is hosted in a single location, InspectionWorld on the Road is designed to travel to multiple cities. This regional approach allows home inspectors in different parts of the US to participate without having to travel far, making continuing education more convenient and affordable for members and non-members alike.

Flexible Scheduling:

These regional events are often shorter, usually lasting 1 to 2 days, compared to the full 3 to 4 days of the primary InspectionWorld event. This allows attendees to fit the training into their schedules more easily, especially for those who may not have the time to attend larger events.

Local Networking:

Although smaller in scale, InspectionWorld on the Road provides ample networking opportunities for local inspectors. By bringing together professionals from nearby areas, the event fosters stronger regional connections among home inspectors. It also creates a space for local chapters and vendors to participate more actively, providing exposure to area-specific services and tools.

Education:

The educational sessions offered often mirror those of the main InspectionWorld event but are tailored to fit regional needs. Topics include technical inspection skills, business development, new tools and technologies, and updates on local regulations.

Participants can expect ASHI CE credits to help meet membership and credential requirements, and many sessions will also have state CE credits from the hosting state as well as surrounding states to help with Licensing requirements.

InspectionWorld on the Road reflects ASHI’s commitment to providing its members with flexible and accessible opportunities for education and professional development. It ensures inspectors across the country can continue to advance their skills and knowledge regardless of their location.

InspectionWorld 2026

Celebrating 50 years

InspectionWorld (IW) started in the late 1980s as a way for ASHI to bring together home inspectors from across the country for advanced education and peer collaboration. The goal was to elevate the profession by providing formal training and Continuing Education opportunities in a centralized format while promoting industry standards.

IW is one of the largest annual events in the home inspection industry and is organized by ASHI. It is designed for home inspectors and related professionals, offering a blend of educational sessions, networking opportunities, and exposure to the latest tools and technologies through an expo hall.

InspectionWorld highlights include:

Educational Opportunities:

InspectionWorld features a comprehensive schedule of educational sessions. These sessions typically cover a broad range of topics, from technical aspects of home inspections to business development and regulatory updates. The education offered often counts toward CEUs, which are important for inspectors to maintain credentials.

Expo Hall:

A major component of IW is the expo hall. This is where exhibitors showcase the latest in inspection tools, software, and other products relevant to home inspectors. It provides a hands-on opportunity for attendees to explore new solutions that could enhance their services.

Networking:

With hundreds of inspectors, vendors, and industry leaders in attendance, IW provides ample networking opportunities. It’s a chance to meet other professionals, share experiences, and learn best practices from peers.

ASHI Awards & Recognition:

ASHI also honors its members and industry leaders during IW with awards for excellence and contributions to the home inspection profession.

Venue & Social Events:

The event is hosted in different cities across the US each year, making it accessible to a wide audience. Social gatherings and receptions are often part of the experience, adding to the camaraderie among participants.

InspectionWorld is considered a premier event for home inspectors who want to stay current with industry trends, gain knowledge, and grow their professional network. It’s open to ASHI members and non-members, making it inclusive for all home inspectors.

InspectionWorld 2026 will be ASHI’s 50th anniversary event, and it is guaranteed to be an amazing way to celebrate a half-century of supporting members and the home inspection industry. IW 26 will be in early 2026 in the Philadelphia area.

ASHI Virtual Summit

The ASHI Virtual Summit (AVS) is a live online multi-day event organized by ASHI to provide inspectors with access to education, networking, industry insights and, recently, an Expo Hall in a digital format. AVS was developed as a response to the growing demand for flexible and affordable learning options.

AVS offers several benefits, starting with convenience. Inspectors can participate without the need for travel, making it easier to fit into busy schedules. There are cost savings because it eliminates travel or accommodation costs, and you will find typically lower registration fees than in-person conferences.

ASHI continues to provide access to experts, featuring industry leaders and subject matter experts, ensuring participants receive valuable insights and up-to-date information. The virtual format also makes it accessible to more members, especially those who might not have the resources or ability to attend in-person events.

AVS highlights include:

Fully Online Format:

The ASHI Virtual Summit is conducted entirely online, allowing home inspectors to participate from anywhere without the need for travel. This flexibility makes it more accessible to inspectors who may not be able to attend in-person events due to distance, time constraints, or other commitments. Attendees can access live sessions, recorded content, and other resources directly from their devices.

Educational Sessions:

Much like IW, the ASHI Virtual Summit features a variety of educational sessions covering important topics for home inspectors. These sessions are designed to help inspectors stay up-to-date on the latest industry practices, regulations, business, and technology.

ASHI and State Continuing Education credits are offered for many of the sessions, so inspectors can meet their professional development and credentialing requirements from the comfort of their home or office.

Interactive Components:

To mimic the engagement and networking aspects of in-person events, the ASHI Virtual Summit often includes interactive elements like Q&A sessions, meet-up rooms, exhibitor hours, discussion forums, and chat features where attendees can interact with presenters, exhibitors, and peers. Virtual booths or exhibitor spaces may also be available, similar to the expo hall at InspectionWorld, allowing participants to explore the latest tools and products from vendors.

Cost-Effective:

The virtual format reduces the cost for participants, as there are no travel, accommodation, or meal expenses. Registration fees for virtual events are often lower than in-person events, making it a more affordable way to earn CE credits and stay informed on industry changes.

Networking Opportunities:

Although virtual, the summit incorporates tools that enable participants to network with peers, industry experts, and exhibitors. Features like virtual breakout rooms, chat functions, and forums help foster connections among inspectors from different regions.

Overall, the ASHI Virtual Summit is an essential tool for inspectors who need professional development but prefer the flexibility and convenience of live online learning while still earning ASHI and State CE credits. It complements ASHI’s other educational initiatives, such as InspectionWorld and InspectionWorld on the Road, by offering a digital alternative for continuous education.
