ASHI offers a variety of education opportunities included with membership. In addition, ASHI officially approves a wide variety of home inspection programs, courses, and seminars for continuing education credits.
Member Continuing Education (CE) Requirements
After the first year of membership, members are required to complete a minimum of 20 ASHI continuing education (CE) credits every year. If a member completes more than 20 ASHI CE credits in one year, up to 10 ASHI CE credits will be carried over to the next year.
ASHI Certified Inspectors are required to complete 20 ASHI CE credits per year to maintain their credential.
Submitting CE Credits
ASHI Members and Certified Inspectors can submit any ASHI CE credits earned outside of ASHI educational opportunities, electronically on their ASHI account through the CE Claim form.
Earn Continuing Education Credits on ASHI Edge
ASHI Edge is the association’s education platform that features a catalog of courses that members can take to earn continuing education credits for ASHI and specific state licensing requirements. Most courses are free to ASHI members. Browse the online catalog to see courses covering technical and business-related topics as well as live and recorded webinars. All courses on ASHI Edge earn you ASHI CE credits and are automatically added to your member account.

Educators provide ASHI CE!
Are you a home inspector educator or an education organization looking to provide ASHI CE for your home inspector classes, courses, or events? Providing ASHI CE for your next educational event helps home inspectors fulfill membership and certification requirements while attending ASHI CE approved education.
Submit your content to ASHI for review; approval typically takes about two weeks, and once approved, we welcome you to advertise your event as ASHI CE-approved.
