The Benefit of Affiliates
A closer look at accessing ASHI’s Affiliate Member program
The ASHI Affiliate Member program allows home inspectors to access the products and services they need to enhance their businesses.
Having a directory of Affiliates allows ASHI Members to discover services and products that can help them serve clients and meet unique needs.
The list of ASHI Affiliate Members is always growing, and you can peruse it at any time at homeinspector.org/membership/ashi-affiliates/. Affiliate Members update their info on the ASHI website.
Among the many new Affiliates, Daniel Freeman, founder of InspectionFire, said his company joined because “ASHI represents inspectors who value standards, continuing education, and professionalism. That alignment made the decision straightforward.”
InspectionFire became an ASHI Affiliate prior to InspectionWorld 2026 this year, as part of their national launch into the home inspection community. “Over the past year we have engaged with ASHI inspectors and found a need for what we offered in the chimney and hearth industry,” Freeman said.
“We joined ASHI because chimney and fireplace systems are one of the most litigated and frequently misunderstood components of a home inspection. Many inspectors document visible conditions well but lack purpose-built tools for flue-level documentation and defensible reporting,” he said. “We saw an opportunity to support ASHI members with specialized chimney camera systems, structured software designed specifically for chimney and fireplace inspections—not general home inspection tools adapted to them. We also offer specialized training based on the needs of those we work with.”
He said the ASHI Affiliate program creates direct access between inspectors and specialized solution providers who understand their workflow. “It’s not simply sponsorship; it’s collaboration.”
He said the greatest value of the partnership is the dialogue. “Affiliates are able to hear directly from inspectors about field challenges, liability concerns, reporting frustrations, and time constraints. That feedback loop allows companies like ours to refine tools around real-world inspection demands rather than assumptions.”
Airthings is another company who joined the ASHI Affiliate program this year. “We decided to join to become more a part of the ASHI community, to be available to help with any radon-related issues, whether it be to answer inspectors’ client questions or to help inspectors with QA/QC, just to name one,” said Lisa Laflamme, head of the Pro division at Airthings. “We offer an outstanding radon measurement instrument, a convenient app to run on, technical and account support as needed, and a dedicated radon staff here at our lab in Massachusetts.”
She said being able to quickly connect with inspectors when they need support is a huge benefit of the Affiliate program. “We had a great experience at InspectionWorld 2026. I got to hear user experiences, collaborate with folks on what they’d like to see going forward and what we can do to improve upon their radon testing needs,” she said. “It was also a chance to get to know people on a human level. Talk about our lives, families, etc. It’s a great community.”
This is a list of ASHI Affiliates as of February 2026:

Zonolite Attic Insulation Trust
Zonolite Insulation is the trademarked name of vermiculite mined in Libby, Montana, and sold as attic insulation between the 1940s and 1990s. Unfortunately, “Libby vermiculite,” or Zonolite, is known to have contained a small amount of hazardous asbestos. Although not all vermiculite is the Zonolite brand or contains asbestos, the EPA advises that you should assume that vermiculite contains asbestos. Zonolite attic insulation, or “ZAI,” may prove harmful to residents because it remains in many attics and homes across the United States and because it is considered “friable”, i.e., easily disturbed and distributed into the air. From an economic standpoint, homeowners with vermiculite insulation are usually not eligible for weatherization subsidies and upgrades until the vermiculite is removed.
