ASHI Membership Tops 6,000
As of April 4, ASHI’s total membership reached 6,025. As a comparison, ASHI did not hit this number until July 2005 —putting the Society about four months ahead of 2005 totals and right on track for reaching our 7,000 membership goal.
Anthony Snyder, ASHI’s director of membership & marketing, credits this increase to the success of the Member Get a Member program, the lower dues for new Candidates (prorated up front in year one vs. in year two) and ASHI’s greater visibility at home inspection trade shows.
Parallel InspectionsAs part of ASHI’s new “Smart Track” Candidate Development program, the ASHI Membership Department will be reaching out to Society leaders (committee members, chapter leaders and council reps) to consider serving as the lead inspector in the parallel inspection program. In this new program, you will be allowed to take up to two Candidates on a home inspection. The full Member conducts the ASHI Inspection, while the two Candidates conduct their own “parallel” inspections and prepare an inspection report, which you will then review and provide comments to improve. An ASHI Candidate will be permitted to use any inspections done under this program to count toward their 50 inspections needed for verification.

marketing, anthonys@ashi.org.

As new dates are scheduled, Candidates will receive an invitation to participate. Pre-registration is required). For information, contact Anthony in the membership department, anthonys@ashi.org.
