Contact the 2007 ASHI officers, directors and committee members

by Edited by ASHI Staff March 1, 2007

Contact information for ASHI’s Board of Directors, committee chairs and members now is available in the online Membership Directory. If you’ve never used the directory, it’s time to check it out.

  • Go to www.ashi.org.
  • Click on the Membership Login box in the upper-right corner of the home page. If this is the first time you’re logging in, enter your membership number and PASSWORD. You will be able to set your own password once you’re in.
  • Next, click on Resources (blue tab, left side of page).
  • Click on Membership Directory (top green tab, left side of page.) Choose Board of Directors or Committees from the list in the right column.

While you’re there, take a look at the additional information available to members only in this handy directory.

Council Representatives who returned their matrices by the end of business day, February 20, 2007, now are on the ballots to serve on either the Officers Nomination Committee or the Directors Nomination Committee.
Council Representatives have until March 31 to elect the members of the two committees. The Officers Nomination Committee presents a slate to Certified Members, and the Director Nomination Committee presents a slate to Council Representatives.

Monthly newsletter helps leaders fulfill responsibilities

On the first of each month, ASHI’s leadership receives a newsletter by e-mail. The newsletter, First Thing, is designed to remind ASHI’s leaders about current activities and to encourage them to share news about events, programs and benefits with the membership. If you hold a position of leadership with ASHI (officer, director, committee chair or member, chapter president or council representative), but do not receive the newsletter, please update your e-mail address with HQ, hq@ashi.org.

ASHI partners with TurboTax™

ASHI’s new partnership with TurboTax™ is an exclusive ASHI membership benefit. TurboTax Online can be used for personal and business returns. To take advantage of the ASHI discount, use the link provided on the home page of the ASHI Members Only Extranet.

New ASHI Product & Services Directory

The new ASHI Product & Service Directory was mailed to the ASHI membership. It’s a handy resource for finding everything the professional home inspector needs, including what is available through the ASHI Online Marketplace. If you did not receive yours, contact Russell Daniels at russelld@ashi.org.

EBPHI invites you to help define your profession

As an active home inspector, your opinion is valuable to the Examination Board of Professional Home Inspectors. EBPHI develops, maintains and administers the National Home Inspector Examination for 19 states that regulate home inspectors. In the spring of 2007, EBPHI will conduct an electronic survey that asks home inspectors their opinions about the day-to-day practice of home inspection. The results of that survey will help shape the content of the exam in future years. To register to participate, visit www.homeinspectionexam.org. The survey will be sent to those who have registered in the spring.
