Chapter members received the following update in their monthly newsletter:
“Another good turnout; five members of CNY-ASHI made the trek to Albany to sit in on the third meeting of the Home Advisory Board. This was a very interesting meeting, which reinforced the need for home inspectors to stay connected with this board. While it is certainly appreciated what the state has done thus far, it is more apparent that these folks are not home inspectors, and we need to be ever watchful over our profession.”
Golden Gate Chapter's PR Efforts
Paul Rude, vice president of Golden Gate ASHI, reports his chapter has benefited from some enthusiastic new members who helped produce a full-color brochure to promote the chapter to local real estate agents and brokers. The chapter is also setting up a speakers bureau and is working on a Q&A Forum for its Web site that will allow the public to post questions for chapter members to answer. He said the chapter is promoting ASHI by emphasizing the service it provides to the public.
