Bio

I am a member of ASHI's NOVA ASHI Chapter. I served on ASHI's National Board of Directors (2010-2012 & 2014-2016) am a licensed Architect, have over 30 years of residential construction experience, am an ASHI Certified Inspector, a Virginia Licensed Home Inspector w/ New Residential Construction (NRS) endorsement, am also licensed in WV, MD, and DE. Am a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), I am a Hokie with a degree in Architecture from Virginia Tech, and a graduate of Home Tech's Home Inspection Training Academy. I provide "Educational inspections" -- that is to say I not only inspect the property, deliver a detailed report with photos; but, unlike most inspectors I teach my clients about everything we observe -- not only defects their magnitude and means of resolution, but how to operate and maintain the specifics of the property. As such expect to be present for 4hrs (not 2-3 hrs per most inspectors). Why hire an inspector who’s services merely meet Licensing and Certification minimum requirements, and focus upon protecting your contractual needs by identifying deficiencies and concerns? For or the same investment you can participate in an LBI Education Inspection which in addition to providing you with a comprehensive report, also teaches you all about the property, answers your questions, and provides a report created to serve as an informative manual similar to what is in the glove box of your vehicle.
