A Letter from the ASHI President

Embarking on a milestone year ahead

by Lisa Alajajian Giroux January 1, 2026

Dear ASHI Members,

I am deeply honored and humbled to have been elected to serve as your ASHI National President for 2026. Thank you for your confidence, your trust, and your continued commitment to this incredible organization. It is both a privilege and a responsibility that I take to heart.

As many of you know, I had the privilege of serving as ASHI President in 2023. During that time, we faced challenges that tested our resilience and strengthened our unity as a profession. We focused on collaboration, professional standards, and rebuilding connections across our chapters and committees. That experience reinforced my belief that ASHI’s greatest strength lies in its members—in your professionalism, integrity, and passion for protecting the public through excellence in home inspection.

Looking ahead to 2026, my goals are clear. I plan to build upon the foundation of the current strategic plan, continuing to strengthen member engagement and growth. Increasing membership will be a top priority—by broadening our reach, enhancing the value of ASHI membership, and supporting inspectors at every stage of their careers. I also intend to champion education, certification, and mentorship programs that help our members thrive in an ever-changing industry.

We have a milestone year ahead of us; ASHI’s 50th anniversary and InspectionWorld 2026, a celebration of five decades of leadership, learning, and legacy. This will be more than just an event. It will be a tribute to everyone who helped shape ASHI into the respected organization it is today. I can’t wait to celebrate this historic occasion with all of you, as we honor our past and embrace the future together.

Thank you again for the incredible opportunity to serve as your President. I am truly grateful for your trust and support, and I look forward to an exciting, productive, and inspiring year ahead.

With gratitude and pride,

Lisa Alajajian Giroux
