Phil Acker, P.Eng, RHI is the founder and lead inspector for Acker Home Inspection Inc. In addition, Phil Acker is the founder and Vice-President of HI-Port Systems Inc, a company providing software solutions for the home inspection industry. Phil graduated from the University of Alberta in 1977, with a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering. Professional experience includes project management, design engineering, new product introduction, and quality engineering, with positions at Canadian General Electric, Nortel Networks, and the Government of the Northwest Territories. Phil has been a practicing home inspector since 2002.
