I am an Illinois licensed home inspector based in the western suburbs of Chicago. Before becoming a home inspector, I spent much of my career in residential construction, managing or participating in nearly 1,000 new home builds across the Chicago metro area. My roles included superintendent, project manager, and director of construction and purchasing.
That background shapes how I approach inspections today. I focus not only on identifying defects, but on explaining how homes are built, how they are altered over time, and what those details mean for the people who live in them. I welcome questions before, during, and after the inspection, and I view the report as a starting point for understanding rather than a conclusion.
In addition to home inspection, I have a background in weatherization and energy performance, which informs how I look at comfort, efficiency, and long-term operation of a home. I inspect new construction and older homes with the same goal in mind: helping clients understand what they are buying, without rushing the process or oversimplifying the issues.
