Bret Butler has been inspecting single family homes and commercial buildings of all types in and around the North San Francisco Bay Area since 1995, when he founded Butler Property Inspections LLC, later to become Butler Commercial Building Inspection Inc. when he began to focus on Commercial Inspection work (Although he is still inspecting homes). Since become a full time inspector in 1995 he has performed more than 6,800 building inspections. Bret is certified by the International Code Council as a Residential Combination Inspector, which is to say he understands, according to their criteria, their published residential building, plumbing, mechanical and electrical codes. In the past he has held a valid Class B, General Contractor license and a California Real Estate Broker license, although they have since expired or are otherwise inactive.
