Bill Fabian

Bill Fabian, Vice President of Training for Monroe Infrared Technology, is a Level III Master Thermographer with over 39 years of experience in infrared imaging. Having trained thousands in both theory and application, Bill has performed IR inspections on more than 100 million square feet of roofing, establishing himself as one of the nation’s foremost experts in infrared diagnostics. He developed the Certified Residential Thermography (CRT) program in 2013—now recognized across nearly all home inspection organizations—and continues to design and teach specialized infrared training courses nationwide. Renowned for his engaging teaching style and practical expertise, Bill brings a wealth of real-world experience from high-rise buildings to single-family homes, helping professionals optimize infrared technology for predictive maintenance and building diagnostics.

Brad Keyes

Since 1978, Mr. Keyes has been the co-owner of Keyes North Atlantic, Inc. (KNA), a $10 million U.L. listed mechanical contracting firm providing design, installation, maintenance and service in the HVAC, electrical, and commercial fire alarm fields. Currently Mr. Keyes is the lead designer and special projects coordinator. Mr. Keyes conducts training and education seminars in the field of residential HVAC systems design and evaluation for numerous groups and organizations, including the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI), Build Boston, and others. Mr. Keyes is licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as follows: Oil Burner Technician, Registered Systems Technician, Refrigeration Contractor, Master Sheet Metal, Registered Systems Contractor, and Security Systems Contractor.

Brianne Smith

As an executive broker, Brianne Smith matches home inspection companies with insurance carriers that best fit their unique business needs. By helping inspectors understand their policies and how they can manage their risk, Brianne empowers inspectors to better protect their assets and avoid claims. She earned her Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation from The National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research. 

Bruce Barker

Bruce Barker, an ASHI Certified Inspector and 2021 ASHI President, has more than 37 years of experience building and inspecting homes. An accomplished author and editor, his works include Everybody’s Building Code, The NHIE Home Inspection Manual, A Practical Guide to Evaluating Decks, and several titles in the Black & Decker series such as Codes for Homeowners and The Complete Guide to Wiring. Bruce is also an ICC Certified Residential Combination Inspector, a licensed contractor and home inspector in multiple states, and a Certified Distance Education Instructor. Holding a BSBA in Accounting and an MBA in Information Systems, Bruce combines deep technical knowledge with educational expertise to advance the home inspection profession.

Dan McLaughlin

Dan McLaughlin started his career in 1972 as a carpenter’s apprentice. He became a journeyman carpenter in 1976 working in the commercial building field. In1978 he was offered a position at the City of Los Angeles as a Residential Building Inspector. In 1980 he went to work as a Residential Combination Inspector for the City of Santa Barbara, where he was later promoted to Inspection Supervisor in 1985. In 1995 he went to work for the City of Ventura as the Senior Plumbing & Mechanical Specialist, and in 2005 he went work as the Building Official for the City of Goleta. In 2010 he retired but continued to work as a Plumbing and Mechanical Code instructor at Ventura Community College since 1997. He is currently a contract plumbing and mechanical plan checker and inspector and provides training programs for residential and commercial inspection agencies ASHI, and CREIA. 

David Goldstein

David Goldstein is the Director of Training for Inspector Education Institute and President of AMBIC Building Inspection Consultants.  David is a 2nd generation home inspector with over 50 years of experience and has been training home inspectors for over 40 years.  He is a NJ, DE and NY licensed home inspector and licensed in NJ and PA in multiple code enforcement disciplines.  David has been a member of ASHI for 40 years and is a member of ICC as well as several other organizations.  He is also a court qualified expert in several states regarding home inspection, construction and safety issues and is a frequent speaker at educational seminars throughout the country.  In addition, David served as a subject matter expert helping write questions for the National Home Inspector Examination (NHIE) and on the board of directors of the Examination Board of Professional Home Inspectors. 

Diana (Dee) Goldstein

Diana (Dee) Goldstein is a Certified Advertising Specialist with 40 years of experience in marketing and advertising helping charities, start-up and small businesses throughout North America get new customers, grow their business and improve their revenue.  Dee has been involved in the home inspection profession for over 40 years and has also been a licensed real estate agent for over 35 years.  She is the President of GEMmarketing, a marketing, design firm that specializes in creating, branding and refining the marketing image for companies.  GEMmarketing also specializes in creating and providing advertising specialties and promotional material such as brochures, ad campaigns and websites.  She is a member of the Advertising Specialty Institute, Professional Products Association International, New Jersey Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.  Dee is a frequent speaker at local, state and national home inspector continuing education courses throughout the country. 

Duane Morrison

Duane Morrison is the founder of Morrison Plus Property Inspections®, which began on January 1, 2007, with just a Chevy Colorado and a solo mission. Today, the brand has grown to approximately 15 franchise locations across 7 states, with Duane’s Glendora, CA location supporting a team of 8 inspectors. A former firefighter in Rock Hill, SC and U.S. Army tank commander, Duane brings discipline and leadership to the home inspection industry. He is a certified CREIA and ASHI inspector, serves as CREIA’s Membership Committee Chair, and is a Director on ASHI’s Board. Duane also co-owns Bugnex Inc., a termite and pest control company. 

Graham Clarke

Graham Clarke is the owner of Clarke Engineering, a building inspection and engineering company in Toronto, Canada and holds a Master’s degree in Structural and Foundation Engineering. Mr. Clarke is a licensed Professional Engineer, an ASHI Certified Inspector, a Registered Home Inspector and a Building Science Specialist. Mr. Clarke is a Past President of both the Ontario Association of Home Inspectors and the Canadian Association of Home & Property Inspectors.

Joseph Wages Jr.

Joseph Wages, Jr., is the Southern Technical Field Representative for the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA). He served previously as the Director of Education with the Independent Alliance of the Electrical Industry (IAEI). He also held the positions of Technical Advisor, Education, Codes and Standards and Seminar Coordinator with the IAEI. He represented IAEI on NFPA’s NEC Code Making Panel-14 for the 2026 NEC. He previously represented IAEI on NFPA’s NEC Code Making Panel-2 for the 2020 and 2023 NEC code cycles and NFPA’s NEC Code Making Panel-3 for the 2014 and 2017 NEC. He served on the Underwriters Laboratories (UL) Electrical Council and on several UL Technical Standard Panels. Joseph continues to hold state electrical licenses and several IAEI and ICC building related certifications.

Mike Twitty

Mike Twitty lives in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, just outside of Nashville. After retiring in 2001 from a 30-year career as an industrial electrician at Ford Motor Company, Mike pursued his passion for home inspection. He began his inspection career in 2004 and retired from the business in 2021. He now provides electrical training for home inspectors at various locations across the country. 

He holds certifications as a residential building inspector and residential and commercial electrical inspector from the International Code Council and is a Tennessee-licensed electrician and state licensed electrical code inspector. Mike was also a compliance inspector for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs’ special adapted housing program for many years. He has authored several technical articles on home inspection and electrical subjects for national publications. 

Peter Muehlbronner

Peter Muehlbronner is President and founder of AHI, Inc – Consulting. Since 1997, AHI has provided residential and commercial inspection services. In 2008, the Company added residential pool inspections to its offerings, which currently is the majority of Peter’s work. He is an ASHI Certified Inspector (ACI) and Master Inspector by Review® (MIBR®). Peter served as President of the Tri State Chapter and is currently on the ASHI Pool & Spa Inspection task force.  He is also an active Member of the Pool & Hot Tub Association (PHTA) and holds CBP, CPO, CPI, CST Pool Specific Credentials.  Peter serves as a National Speaker for the PHTA regarding Pool Inspection Education.  More information about his company can be found at www.ahiconsulting.com. 

Sandra Hyde

Sandra Hyde, P.E. is Managing Director of Product Development for the International Code Council (ICC) where she develops books and seminars about the structural provisions of the International Building Code (IBC), International Residential Code (IRC), International Existing Building Code (IEBC) and structural topics. Sandra has coauthored books and seminars on these topics including the Special Inspection Manual and the Significant Changes to the IRC and IBC. She has experience in manufacturing and research of engineered wood products with Weyerhaeuser.

Skip Walker

Skip Walker, ACI, is a CREIA Master Inspector, ICC Certified Combination Residential Building Inspector and a FIRE Certified Fireplace Inspector. He has presented to the National Association of Realtors®, the California Association of Realtors® on smoke alarm performance and CO poisoning issues. He has presented at ASHI InspectionWorld 2013, ASHI GLC , ASHI Ohio, ASHI Western Washington and a number of CREIA conferences /meetings on smoke alarm performance issues. Tom Urban

Tom Urban is the President of Estoban Corporation, which has been designing, building, and repairing internal chimney inspection systems for over 40 years. A respected leader in the field, he has served as an instructor at the National Chimney Sweep Guild (NCSG) and Chimney Safety Institute of America (CSIA) training school in Plainfield, Indiana, teaching for 20 years, and has held roles as Technical Advisor and Treasurer on the NCSG/CSIA Board of Directors. Tom also contributed to the NFPA 211 committee that established the inspection levels and Annex for the 2000 edition. Under his leadership, Estoban has become a trusted resource for the chimney inspection industry, providing specialized equipment, reference materials, and evaluation forms. His expertise has also been recognized in the legal arena—Tom’s inspection forms and methodology were entered into evidence in the Superior Court of California, where they became part of case law.
