Day One, Feb 14th, kicks off an intensive, hands-on exploration of the 2024 International Residential Code (IRC). This session helps participants gain confidence in navigating the code book and understanding how the IRC is organized and applied in real-world scenarios. Through instructor-led discussions and open-book quizzes, you’ll build familiarity with key chapters, including Scope and Application, Definitions, Building Planning, Foundations, and Floors. Participants will learn how to locate code provisions quickly, interpret their intent, and apply them to inspection and construction situations. This first day lays the groundwork for deeper comprehension and testing success.
Day Two, Feb 15th, dives deeper into the advanced sections of the 2024 International Residential Code (IRC). Participants will continue chapter-by-chapter study with interactive discussions and open-book quizzes designed to reinforce mastery. Topics include wall, roof, and ceiling construction; energy efficiency; and mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems.
