Bylaw Amendment Vote Halted
Due to a significant error on the Ballot to vote on recently proposed ASHI Bylaw Amendments, the Board of Directors held an emergency meeting on September 20th and voted to halt the entire voting process, both electronic and hard copy ballot. All votes cast so far in the process will be destroyed and no tabulations will take place.
The Board agreed to wait until December of 2006 to re-present the Bylaw Amendments to the voting Members. A formal letter of explanation will be forthcoming from the Board to all voting Members. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and confusion this has caused.
Call for Volunteers
The Society depends on its membership to participate in leadership at the national level. Each year, the call goes out for volunteers to serve on committees and taskforces.
This year, the form includes frequently asked questions and answers about volunteering. If you are ready to take a role in leadership at the national level, download a copy of the form in PDF from ASHI.org, Membership Extranet, Downloads and Forms, ASHI Documents and Forms.
Current committee members must return the form indicating their willingness to serve another year.
