Welcome Aboard, Susan Lane!

Introducing ASHI's New Director of Membership and Chapter Relations

November 1, 2021

ASHI is happy to welcome Susan Lane as the new Director of Membership and Chapter Relations. Susan has been here since October and is getting up to speed at ASHI quickly. Over the past few weeks, you may have seen her on the website or received correspondence from her already. We wanted to give her a proper introduction to ASHI membership for those who haven’t had that pleasure yet.

Susan is an alumnus of The Ohio State University, where she earned her degree in Early Childhood Education. Her career has included many years in association management, including oversight of operations, financials, membership, volunteers, governance, and leadership.

Susan has worked in numerous roles for multiple associations in her tenure with Smith Bucklin. During her twenty-plus years there, she impacted places as diverse as the National Association of Independent Fee Appraisers to the American Ladder Institute. Susan brings an insight into membership processes and procedures that ASHI will benefit from immensely and is a leader who builds teams that move forward together.

In addition to her role in leading the membership department, we are excited to have Susan jump into overseeing Chapter Relations to help chapters reach their full potential. Susan will partner with the other departments to determine the needs of members and introduce new initiatives to benefit everyone at ASHI.

Join me in giving Susan a warm welcome to ASHI!
