Two New E-Newsletters

Two e-newsletters debuted last month-one for ASHI Inspectors, the other for ASHI Candidates. ASHI Inspectors learned about new search parameters for Find an Inspector on www.ashi.org and other Web site improvements. ASHI Candidates received tips from ASHI verifiers on inspection report writing.

If you didn’t receive your e-news, it may be because you don’t have a valid e-mail address on file at HQ, your mail box is full or your SPAM blocker is stopping ASHI mail. Make the changes necessary so you will receive future e-newsletters. Also, share your ideas for e-newsletter topics by e-mailing them to sandyb@ashi.org.

17 Chapters received $$$$

For the second year, ASHI Chapters are eligible to receive money to promote The ASHI ExperienceSM and local membership. Only 17 have received their base The ASHI Experience chapter funding for this year.

What are you waiting for? All it takes is a plan on how the chapter will use the money and a completed Chapter Grant Approval Form. Download grant instructions and form from the ASHI Web site, Membership Extranet, ASHI Experience, Chapter Funding & Activities Guidebook.

Thirty-four chapters applied for supplementary funding. The Chapter Relations Committee reviewed the applications and announced distribution of the
supplementary funds last month.

The ASHI 2006 Director Matrix is available on www.ashi.org, Membership Extranet, ASHI documents. Until August 31, 2005, all Council Representatives who meet the eligibility requirements may submit a matrix to be considered as a nominee for a director’s position. The list for distributing press clippings, press release templates and other public relations tools is being updated. Don’t be left out because the information for your chapter is missing or outdated.  

Metro search category changes on Find an Inspector require chapter president approval

ASHI Inspectors are invited to make suggestions for adding new metro search categories or changing existing ones for the online Find an Inspector function, but the chapter president must approve the request form before it’s sent to HQ. Forms received at HQ without the president’s approval are returned to the chapter. The form is available online, Membership Extranet, Downloads, ASHI Documents.
