The ASHI School – Students Value Ongoing Learning Experience

Have you ever heard the phrase, “the students are like sponges,” ? Many of the students who attend The ASHI School’s 2 week Home Inspection Instruction at
one of the 9 locations have been referred to as “sponges.” As new instructor at our Cincinnati location, Dave Haught said “this class is like a bunch of
sponges taking in every morsel of knowledge available.”

Some students do soak up everything they see and hear even when they seem to not be listening or watching. However, some students may have a more difficult
time soaking up information. That is why The ASHI School is developing a pathway to success.

The school has developed a plan to reach out to each and every student beginning before class starts and continuing on for one year after they have
graduated with information on marketing, communication, additional classes, joining a chapter, etc. There are so many things to remember upon graduation
that the school feels it is a priority to assist students in achieving success.

The school does emphasize joining a chapter as soon as possible. Chapters are so beneficial to new graduates not only for networking and learning from the
best, but also because many consumers are now becoming more educated and choose to employ an inspector who is affiliated with a professional organization –
ASHI. A student’s certificate of completion from The ASHI School, and access to The ASHI School graduate logo, can be added to their business cards,
websites and mailing materials. This gives students more ways to display their profession and success.

As students progress in their careers the school offers additional classes for professional advancement . The school holds at least 3 commercial classes
each year, mold classes and is now opening up the doors to Infrared Technology being taught by instructors from Monroe Infrared. The school also offers –
at no charge to any student who has graduated – the ability to sit in on one of the 120 Hour Home Inspection courses if they feel they may need a refresher
in some areas.

As the school grows so do ideas on how to improve. The school is always open to any suggestions or questions that our readers may have. We learn from
listening! Please contact Jack McGraw at jack@theashischool.com with any comments or ideas that you believe
could benefit students in their careers.
