The ASHI School Announces Educational Partnership With Cincinnati State Technical and Community College
Cincinnati State will award credit upon completion of The ASHI School curriculum
- Partnership creates both a professional and educationalpathway for students.
- College credit will be awarded upon successful course completion and can be used toward associate or bachelor degree requirements.
The ASHI School announced a partnership with Cincinnati State Technical and Community College, combining college-issued credit in conjunction with successful completion of The ASHI School Home Inspection course.
The course combines 40 hours of pre-class study and 80 hours of classroom and field lab experience, including performing real home inspections.
Students who complete the course curriculum — designed and offered by The ASHI School — will have the option of receiving five hours of transferrable college credit from Cincinnati State in addition to a course completion certificate. The credits can be applied toward an associate degree or bachelor degree from Cincinnati State; students may apply to have them accepted at other colleges.
“We’re excited to combine the comprehensive technical and real-world training offered by our curriculum with educational opportunities presented by Cincinnati State,” said Jack McGraw, director of The ASHI School. “This program is designed for students of all backgrounds, but especially for military veterans who are looking to embark on a new career.”
Cincinnati State President O’dell M. Owens said the College wants to add value for students who are interested in home inspection and want to bolster existing careers or begin a new career or educational path. “Cincinnati State is committed to preparing its students for success not only in their education, but in their career as well,” he said.
The ASHI classes are offered in several states. One is scheduled to be offered this month at Cincinnati State’s Workforce Development Center in Evendale. However, students will receive credit upon course completion at any of the designated locations.
