The American Society of Home Inspectors Invitation for Comment on Draft Standards of Professional Practice for Residential Swimming Pool and Spa Inspections

The American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) welcomes and encourages public comment concerning its Draft Standards of Professional Practice for Residential Swimming Pool and Spa Inspections. Public comment is a critical part of the standards development process. It helps ensure that inspections performed using the standards serve the interests of all stakeholders.

Any interested party may submit comments about and proposed changes to these draft standards.  In order to fully and fairly evaluate these comments and proposed changes, please use the following format that includes:
The name(s) of those submitting the comment or proposed change.

  1. The name of the group or organization, if any, that those submitting the comment or proposed change represent.
  2. The proposed change to the standard with words to be removed struck out and words to be added underlined.
  3. The reason(s) why the change will improve the standard.
  4. The public comment period will end on November 30, 2009.
