It’s Not the Heat, It’s the Stupidity
My favorite part of the magazine is “Postcards from the field.” I have a good one. Everybody knows that it gets hot in Florida. Look at what this guy is doing about it. This is a thermostat mounted outside! Can you imagine his electric bill?

Goodness gracious, great balls of fire
This photo shows someone had no idea of what this roof vent was for. This turbine vent is supposed to be installed on a roof to help cool/ventilate the attic, not as a spark arrestor on the chimney. Talk about downdrafting and flame throwers if the wind blows the wrong way! Potentially a very dangerous situation.
