InspectionWorld California: Orange County, Here We Come!

by Angela Orlando November 1, 2006

Popularly known as the OC, Orange County, California, is a top business and leisure destination, and, in just a couple of months, it will be the destination of choice for the home inspection profession as the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) and the California Real Estate Inspection Association (CREIA) host InspectionWorld California from January 10-13, 2007, at the Disneyland Resort.

The heart of Southern California lifestyle

The palm tree-filled metropolis that is the OC is located in the heart of Southern California, between Los Angeles and San Diego. Warm sunshine, swaying palm trees and breathtaking ocean views create a relaxed Southern California lifestyle where shorts, sandals and sunglasses are always in season. Within easy reach of four major airports, the area boasts 42 miles of breathtaking coastline, 34 unique cities, views of the nearby mountains to the east, and ideal year-round weather filled with sunny days and an average temperature of 70 degrees. And at the center of it all is Anaheim, a city offering a variety of exciting dining, shopping and entertainment opportunities and distinctive resort areas, including the Disneyland Resort® and Disneyland® Park, the first official theme park in the world.

Classic Disney and more
Celebrating its 50th Anniversary in 2005, Walt Disney’s original theme park, Disneyland®, inspires fun and adventure with classic Disney characters, live entertainment and more than 60 rides and attractions. For many years, Disneyland® Park in itself was considered the whole destination; however, in the 1990s, major construction began to transform Disneyland from a theme park into a vacation resort—Disney’s California Adventure™ and Downtown Disney® opened in 1991.

Disney’s California Adventure™ celebrates the fun and adventure of California in four themed lands, inspired by the magic of Hollywood, the thrills of a beach-front boardwalk, the adventures of the great outdoors and the beauty of the California landscape.

The Downtown Disney® district is a 20-acre, non-gated public esplanade filled with exceptional shopping, themed dining and entertainment venues. Anchored by an AMC 12-screen megaplex and the Orange County outpost of the House of Blues, this entertainment marvel is comprised of more than 330,000 square feet of retail shopping and dining space.

Historic hotel
Just a few steps away from the entrance to Downtown Disney® is the historic Disneyland Hotel®, which will serve as host for InspectionWorld California, January 10-13, 2007. By carefully combining nostalgia with the amenities of today, the property still generates the same excitement that it did when its doors first opened.

A great destination for a great conference
As host to hundreds of meetings and conferences each year, the Disneyland Hotel® is the perfect provider of amenities for both business pleasure, which makes it more than prepared to host attendees of InspectionWorld California. From the 30,000-square-foot exhibit hall filled with the industry’s top vendors to the five distinct educational tracks running continuously for three full days, the conference itself is more than enough to amuse, enrich and entertain, but just outside the doors is a whole new world for attendees to explore.
