Don Barrick

Past Member Don Barrick of Bozeman MT recently died. “Don was a charter member of the Rockies Chapter and a valued contributor. He will be sorely missed by us all,” Doug Wells, chapter secretary/treasurer said.
Barrick became an ASHI Member in 1986 and was active until his retirement.

Roger Brixey

Roger Brixey, senior inspector for Newcomer’s Inspection Services in Scottsdale, AZ passed away suddenly on November 19th.

Steve O’Donnell, manager of Newcomer’s Inspection Services, said, “Roger was an inspector with Newcomer’s since 1996 and was a truly valued employee. In addition, he was a wonderful human being who always had a smile on his face and a kind word for everyone he met. He will truly be missed and our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

He joined ASHI in 1996 and achieved Member status in 1998.

 Ken Young

ASHI Member Ken Young died recently after a long illness. He was President of the Gulfstream ASHI chapter and of the Florida Association of Home inspectors. He also served as an ASHI Director.

Ken was described by those who knew him as ever optimistic – a pillar of the inspection industry in Florida and at the national level. He was respected for his intelligence, compassion, leadership, and ability to work amiably with his peers to get things done. He managed to accomplish so much and always with a good sense of humor. Payne Stewart dressed like him… sharp dresser all the time, but really on the golf course.

It was his wish to have a private Celebration of Life gathering in Florida, after he was cremated and his ashes scatted in the garden of his cabin in Tennessee.  The family will hold a memorial service in North Carolina and his wife Judi asked that donations be made in Ken’s memory go to the Hospice that assisted him.
