Impressions

At my one-month anniversary with ASHI, I decided I would give you some impressions of my job, and the primary thing I think every ASHI member should know is how talented and hardworking a staff you have in your national office. I am amazed at the amount of work such a small group of people accomplishes on your behalf.

The ASHI mission statement says: “To set and promote standards for property inspections and to provide the educational programs needed to achieve excellence in the profession.” If the ASHI staff had a mission statement in place, it would probably be: “To put in place the tools, procedures and other support needed to help ASHI home inspectors fulfill their mission statement.”

Over the years I have worked for many nonprofit organizations, but I assure you that the staff here “gets it.” They have bought into the mission. They are in place to help you. When you see staff phone numbers and emails listed, be assured that they are used on a daily basis. Just as you take pride in your home inspection education and work, they take pride in doing what they can to make you
and your business a success.
