Could this be your last issue of the Reporter?

by Edited by ASHI Staff December 1, 2007

If you have not renewed your ASHI membership, this will be your last issue of the ASHI Reporter. You’ll be missed, and you’ll miss out on all the benefits  of membership such as the new medical coverage benefits and, most of all, being associated with the oldest and most highly respected home inspection
association.

There’s still time to avoid being dropped from the membership rolls. Renew via the Web site or contact Sarah Walsh, 847-954-3180 at ASHI HQ.

ASHI member organizes pre-IW rebuilding

Ray Hogan wants to hear from ASHI members who are willing to work at a Habitat for Humanity New Orleans project the week of InspectionWorld, ASHI’s annual conference. The group will work from Saturday, Jan. 12 to Wednesday, Jan. 16. Volunteers are welcome for any or all of the time. Hogan is arranging for modest housing and meals for $20 a day at Camp Hope. If you’re interested, e-mail him at seriousinspector@hotmail.com.

Check the IW Web site for state approvals

ASHI has submitted InspectionWorld’s education sessions to all the states requiring continuing education.
The IW Web site is updated as approvals come in. If you’re interested, visit www.inspectionworld.org.

Officer election closes

Electronic and paper balloting for 2008 ASHI officers concluded on Dec. 5. Voting members without a valid e-mail address on file at HQ received a paper ballot. The winners will be announced in the January ASHI Reporter. For general information, contact Richard Bennett, richardb@ashi.org.

Director election closes

The deadline for council representatives to return their paper ballots was Dec. 5. The winners will be announced in the January ASHI Reporter.

To review election, petition and campaigning policies, download the COR Policy and Procedures manual from the ASHI Web site.

Use your Chapter Calendar to publicize chapter events

Chapter presidents, did you know that ASHI provides, free of charge, a calendar on www.ashi.org for your events? To use it, all you have to do is designate a calendar administrator to Bob Kociolek (847-954-3177 or bobk@ashi.org), and he will give him/her access and a complete set of instructions on how to add, edit and delete events.

Smart Track Chapter Modules perfect for chapter meetings

Need a good technical presentation for an upcoming chapter meeting? Smart Track Chapter modules (slide presentation with instructor notes) are available to the chapters. To gain access for your chapter, contact Angela Orlando, angelao@ashi.org or by phone at 847-954-3187.
