Congratulations to Early Renewal Drawing winners
Congratulations to Ed Miehlke, The HomeTeam Inspection Service, Lake Zurich, Ill.; Terry Jenkins, Prospect Properties, Inc., Midlothian, Va.; and Kevin Heath, Pillar to Post Home Inspections, Rochester, N.Y., for winning full registrations to InspectionWorld Las Vegas.
Their names were entered in the drawing because they renewed their 2009-10 ASHI membership by September 1, 2009. Full registration includes three days, five tracks of home inspection-related seminars, access to a bustling exposition hall, daily networking opportunities, social events and ASHI’s annual business meeting and awards ceremony.
It’s so easy to renew
If you haven’t already renewed your ASHI membership for 2009-10, don’t delay. It’s as easy as logging in as a member on www.homeinspector.org. Once you’re logged in, your renewal notice will appear. As soon as you renew, we promise to stop sending you renewal notices.
Renew to ensure there is no interruption of your member benefits, such as being listed in the Find an Inspector search function and receiving your monthly ASHI Reporter.

Earning required CEs
Time is running out to earn and report the continuing education hours required of ASHI members.
• SMART TRACK online learning is free to ASHI members
Each ASHI member has been assigned a login and password to access the program, which is easily accessible through the ASHI Web site under Education & Training. To obtain login information, contact Michele George at 847- 954-3188.
• For a list of approved chapter and online seminars, visit Education and Training, Programs Approved for ASHI CEs.
• ASHI@HOME offers great content, lots of options, and a quick and easy way to earn CEs.
Report your CEs using the claim form available on the Members Only Web site, under Downloads and Forms, ASHI Documents and Forms.
Members are responsible for documenting their continuing education hours and for providing evidence, if audited. Be sure to ask for a certificate from all seminars, including those hosted by chapters, and be prepared to complete your annual form or respond to an audit.

Calling for volunteers
ASHI depends on volunteers to help develop and carry through on the programs and activities that create value for the members. Some of the hardest-working volunteers are those who serve on the committees. If you are willing to serve on a national committee, start the process by completing and returning the Call for Volunteers form, which can be downloaded from the Members Only Web site, under Downloads and Forms, ASHI Documents and Forms.
Questions? Contact ASHI headquarters at HQ@ashi.org.
Attention chapter presidents: Vitality reports and rosters past due
Chapter presidents are reminded that annual chapter vitality reports are now past due. Chapter presidents have also been asked to submit current membership rosters.
If there is a problem fulfilling either request, please contact Russell Daniels at russelld@ashi.org.
New advertising rate card now available
Same great rates … download the new rate card from the home page of www.ashi.org and plan now to advertise your chapter seminars to a wider audience.
