The recent bylaw proviso to seat the existing persons on the certification committee was approved by the voting membership.
This was the final step in completing the certification project. The ASHI Certification Committee can now officially continue work as an approved standing committee. Two new members will be elected to the committee in the next election cycle. Continuing Education audit is under way
ASHI staff is charged with conducting an audit of Continuing Education (CE) hours every January.
A list of 300-400 ACIs and Associates was randomly generated from the membership database, including at least one member from each chapter.
The people on the list were notified to turn in documentation supporting the continuing education hours they reported on the CE claim form. Documentation included certificates of completion, invoices, certificates of attendance, etc.If the documentation did not verify the required number of hours, the inspector failed the audit and was placed on
Administrative Suspension.
