CE Hours Audit is Completed

by Edited by ASHI Staff April 1, 2011

ASHI staff is charged with conducting an audit of Continuing Education (CE) hours every January. A list of ACIs and Associates was randomly generated from the membership database, including at least one from each chapter. The members on the list were notified as to how they could verify the hours they’d claimed.

Inspectors who failed to verify by March 31 were placed on administrative suspension. Questions? Contact Sarah Walsh 847-954-3180 at HQ or sarahw@ashi.org.

Backed by Lloyd’s, BRP Launches Combo GL and E&O Coverage for Home Inspectors

Business Risk Partners (an ASHI-Endorsed Program) now is offering General Liability (GL) coverage to home inspector firms that purchase Errors & Omissions (E&O) insurance. For nearly a decade, BRP has been endorsed by the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI). Bundling the two products addresses the increasingly grey areas between GL and E&O coverage, while providing brokers the convenience of one-stop shopping with two comprehensive policies. The new GL policy is backed by Lloyd’s of London.

The policy is being offered nationwide on a non-admitted basis to home inspector firms with revenues of up to $1 million. Policy-limit capacity of up to $1 million per claim and $2 million in the aggregate is available with deductibles starting at $250 and premiums starting at $315.

Please contact the servicing agency at 866-268-1327 or e-mail Niccole Barnes at nbarnes@csrisks.com for more information. You can also visit www.inspectorinsurance.com to complete an application today!
