Bringing the Experts to You

January 21, 2024

As you may have heard, this year’s InspectionWorld (IW) is excited to hit the open road.

“Our goal with InspectionWorld 2024 is to provide a valuable, efficient, and cost-effective experience for our members,” said Lisa Alajajian Giroux,
2023 President of ASHI. “We recognize that not everyone can travel to a large event, and by bringing InspectionWorld to our chapters, we’re making it more accessible and convenient for everyone.”

Many chapters applied to host this year’s events.
These are this year’s chapter winners:

  • Ohio ASHI Chapter
  • Silicon Valley ASHI/CREIA Chapter
  • New England ASHI Chapter
  • St. Louis ASHI Chapter

New Year, New Opportunities

Five things to do to start the New Year off right

New Construction Snafus

Before I became an indoor air quality (IAQ) professional, I was a contractor and a home inspector. During my home inspections and IAQ investigations of newly constructed homes, I found many problems that worried me, no matter what professional “hat” I wore. Here are some real-life experiences:

Inspecting New Homes

Many of the issues or defects found in existing homes were there from day one. Your knowledge and experience of inspecting occupied homes will give you a sense of what you’ll find in new homes, aside from age-related issues or the wear and tear of an older home having been lived in.

Professional Networking

Grow your professional network, find a mentor, network with the best, and best part of the community that’s making home inspection better every day.
