Beyond the Scope of the Standards

by Edited by ASHI Staff March 1, 2013

To the Editor:

The Technical Review Committee has a good point pertaining to the vermiculite article. I think most of us understand that this and other environmental hazards are not part of the ASHI Standards. But we still need these types of articles so we can inform our clients as to what the hazards might be or to seek other qualified professionals for their opinion. Maybe we should tag these articles; FYI, For Your Knowledge, Something to Think About, etc., so that it’s not attached to the ASHI Standards. If somebody wants to sue you, they will whether you informed them or not.

Just my opinion.
