The quarterly ASHI Board of Directors meeting will take place July 17-18, 2009, at the Sheridan-O’Hare Hotel in Rosemont, Ill. Members are welcome. Actions taken at the meeting will be reported in the August issue of First Thing, the e-newsletter distributed to all members on the first of every month, and in the September ASHI Reporter.

ASHI’s public relations program continues to educate the public on the value of hiring an ASHI inspector.
Save the Date for Leadership Training Conference
When you think about how few chapter meetings will be held between now and when this year’s Leadership Training Conference kicks off on Oct. 15, you’ll realize why its important to start discussing who should attend. Another outstanding program will be waiting for ASHI’s current and future leaders. Be ready to send those who will ensure a successful future for your chapter.
Chapter Rosters Requested
Thank you to those who responded to the request to send current chapter rosters to headquarters. ASHI needs the rosters to ensure our records are correct and to update the individual records of members who have not designated their chapter affiliation in their profile.
Keep those rosters coming. If you have questions, contact Russell Daniels at russelld@ashi.org.
IW Exhibitor Prospectus mailed in June
Do you know vendors who should be exhibiting at InspectionWorld Las Vegas, Jan. 17-20 (Sunday through Wednesday), but might not be on ASHI’s mailing list? If so, send that information to Bill Lewis at bill@ashi.org or 847-954-3187.
All ASHI Affiliates have received the prospectus, and we expect space and sponsorships to go quickly for THE conference for home inspectors.
Members: Update Your Profile So Consumers Can Reach You
ASHI members must keep their profiles updated and complete so Find An Inspector users can contact them. Log in to Members Only on www.homeinspector.com, go to My Membership, Member Profile, check the information and update if necessary.
If you have questions, contact Mike Rostescu, miker@ashi.org.
Keeping CE Records
With the exception of automatically recorded InspectionWorld credits, members are responsible for documenting their continuing education hours and for providing evidence, if audited. Be sure to ask for a certificate from all seminars, including those hosted by chapters, and be prepared to complete your annual form or respond to an audit.
Questions? Contact sarahw@ashi.org.
