ASHI Membership: End of Summer Updates

Can you believe it? We are more than halfway through the year! I hope that 2021 has been a good year for you so far, and that you all are doing well. Some of you may already know me from my emails or when I’ve talked to you over the phone, but for those new to ASHI, my name is Jen Gallegos, and I have the honor of being the Membership and Chapter Relations Manager.

I want to highlight where we stand in membership and give you some updates on how we communicate with you as we have transitioned to a paperless way of doing things.

New Approach to Communications

We are introducing a more sophisticated approach to our communications to provide specific and pertinent information to you. Depending on your membership level and geographic region, you will receive messages about relevant benefits and opportunities that we feel will help you grow your business and develop skills to differentiate yourself. This means you will receive more appropriate and applicable information when you hear from us without overwhelming you with countless emails in your inbox.

If you have unsubscribed from ASHI’s email at any point, we invite you to reach out to us to resubscribe. You don’t want to miss out on important information out that affects your membership and keeps you on track to achieving your specific goals.

New Digital Invoicing

Is your membership renewal date September 30th? This year we went electronic on all membership renewals. In June, you should have received an automatic invoice via email, where you have access to view your renewal by logging on to your membership dashboard on the ASHI website.

Want to send a check instead of paying online? Not a problem! You can do that by viewing your invoice online and clicking the “view/print” button on your due payment page. You can learn more tips about accessing your dashboard in the “Exciting Website Changes at ASHI” article published in the August issue of the ASHI Reporter.

A Look at ASHI’s Current Membership

Here’s a look at our membership halfway through the year.

  • Total number of members: 6,090
  • ASHI Certified Inspector: 3,234
  • Inspector: 263
  • Associate: 2,254
  • Retired: 107
  • Student Member: 161

For the 2021 year, we have had a total number of 788 new members and 340 members move up in ASHI! 214 new ASHI Certified Inspector, 126 ASHI Inspectors.

Congrats to all the new members achieving the next level of their careers and offer a warm welcome to all our new members!
