October 18-19, 2007: There’s still time to send your best

Chapter leaders:
Time is running out to send someone to the 2007 Leadership Training Conference, but it can still be done. Chapters are encouraged to send current and future leaders to the 1-1/2-day event, beginning at noon on Thursday, October 18, and continuing through Friday, October 19, at the Doubletree Hotel-O’Hare in Rosemont, Ill.

Attendees must reserve their own rooms at the Doubletree Hotel-O’Hare. Call toll-free 800-222-tree or locally 847-292-9100. The guaranteed special $119 single/double occupancy rate for ASHI expired September 25, but those registering late should try for availability and the best possible rate by mentioning they are attending the ASHI event.

The renowned ethics expert Debbie Long kicks off training at noon on Thursday with a workshop on ethical issues and ethical IQ. Friday’s events feature acclaimed volunteer trainer Jill McCrory of Leadership Outfitters leading an interactive workshop on a topic near and dear to all chapter leaders: “Finding, Cultivating and Rewarding Volunteers and Practicing Effective Leadership.”

Use the RSVP form to register for the event. If you need a form, contact Bob Kociolek at bobk@ashi.org or 847-954-3177.
