ASHI Education & Events – New Learning Programs for You
Whether you are beginning your home inspection career or have years of experience, there’s always more to learn. ASHI’s Education & Events will keep
you up to date and ready for the next challenge.
“Our new and current programs offer a variety of professional development opportunities for home inspectors,” says Michele George, Director of Education
and Events. “We’re excited about Inspection World coming up in January, new learning programs starting this month, and ongoing programs that are
continually updated.”
Michele’s activities include administering educational programming, ASHI CE credit approval, support to members and chapters, event planning, working with
schools and professional associations for Continuing Education approval, and management of Inspection World.

January 6 – 9, Philadelphia
Join us for ASHI’s Annual Conference from January 6 – 9 in Philadelphia. “It’s a dynamic learning and networking experience,” Michele explains, “and you
can earn 20 ASHI CEs, state CEs, and other industry association credits.” New ASHI Board Members are also inducted during the Annual Meeting.

NEW
ASHI website’s new Education portal.
You will soon see a new portal to the Education & Training page, making it easier for you to find and access our learning opportunities and educational
support services. All avenues provide opportunities to earn your ASHI continuing education credits (CEs).
New Programs
► ASHI Online Learning Center – free online education.
The AOLC website houses courses presented at past Inspection Worlds. The online modules are presentations synchronized with audio narrations as delivered
by the presenter. As an ASHI member benefit, members may view the two hour modules for free, earning 2 ASHI CEs upon successful completion of an exam. Many
online modules are approved for state CEs.
► Online Training for Ancillary Services. In conjunction with Green Training USA, ASHI Education will offer a variety of certificate
courses in specialty services, including mold, radon, infrared, and building science, via online training offered at a discount to ASHI members.
► BPI’s Building Science Principles Certificate. Prove you know the fundamentals of house-as-a-system building science by earning the
certificate of knowledge. Prepare for the BSP online exam by first studying the companion Reference Guide that walks you through the major systems of the
home. The Business Performance Institute offers the BSP package at a discount price to ASHI members.
Current Programs
►Smart Track Online Education Program and Chapter Modules.
Free to ASHI members, Smart Track covers core home inspection subjects of ASHI’s Standards of Practice in 10 online courses. Chapter modules are available
for chapter educational programs.
All online Smart Track courses (except Professional Practice) have been granted approval or meet the requirements for continuing education in the following
states: Alaska, Arkansas, Connecticut, Florida, Indiana, Kansas, New Hampshire, Mississippi, New Jersey, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee and Washington, West
Virginia and Wisconsin.
► Chapter Education Resources. Speakers Directory and more resources are here for chapters. “Our goal is to support chapters in providing
resources and ideas to help them create their own events and programs.”
► Chapter Calendar of Events. View a continually updated list of meetings and educational events offered by ASHI chapters. (Chapters: Be
sure to keep ASHI National advised of your chapter’s events, and afterwards, email photos and report on chapter events for the Reporter.)
► ASHI@Home education system. A self-paced comprehensive set of 10 courses in a distance-learning program helps you achieve your goals.
► Programs approved for ASHI CEs. ASHI officially approves a wide variety of home inspection programs, courses and seminars. View the list
to find current educational opportunities to suit your needs.
