Arizona Chapter Receives Honor from Governor
Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano issued a proclamation declaring December 2, 2005, as “Arizona Chapter of the American Society of Home Inspectors Day.”
According to Nan Mitchell, Arizona Chapter executive director, the proclamation recognizes the members’ contributions to the community, and their adherence to a code of ethics and participation in annual continuing education programs.

“It is our hope that the proclamation can be a positive reinforcement for chapter members looking to volunteer their time and energies, and also to assist us in persuading those ASHI members who do not currently belong to the Chapter to join.”
In addition to being distributed to the local ASHI membership, the proclamation is being sent to regulatory agencies (Board of Realtors(r), Registrar of Contractors) to promote recognition of the profession within ancillary professional communities.
