An Embarrassment of Riches?

by Sandy Bourseau October 1, 2012

While we’re always proud of the technical content contributed by ASHI members, this month it’s almost an embarrassment of riches.

Douglas Hansen has joined regular contributors Bruce Barker and Andy Tran and we hope you appreciate 13 pages of inspection information provided by members who are professionals in both the inspection and publishing fields.

With that said, we want you to know you don’t have to be a professional writer to share knowledge with other home inspectors. If you’ve never been published, why not give it a try? Over the years, first-time authors have gone on to publish regularly with ASHI and elsewhere.

We encourage you to query us with your idea for an article so we can offer support at every step of the process. And, since the articles usually require research and consulting with others, the Technical Review Committee has been empowered to recommend continuing education credits based on the author’s learning experience.

In addition to technical inspection content, we welcome business, safety and marketing success stories and ASHI membership news.

Of course, an embarrassment of riches was meant to be tongue in cheek. As you know, your Reporter comes to you every month; therefore, we need a constant flow of articles for home inspectors at all levels of expertise, from beginners to seasoned veterans. Could you help keep your magazine a resource-rich publication for ASHI members?  If so, we’d love to hear from you.
