Adding metro areas to “Find an Inspector”
Although only chapters may request that metro areas be added to Find an Inspector, any member may contact a chapter and suggest an area.
You do not have to be a member of the chapter to make the request. You can find the person to contact in the ASHI Membership Directory, in the Members-Only section of the ASHI website.
Moving up in ASHI
New Inspectors
If you are a new inspector who has done at least 10 inspections, an ASHI verifier will look at your reports and let you know how you’re doing at no cost. This service is included in your membership fee. A full report is returned to you on your inspections and the verifier will be happy to discuss them with you.
Associates
Have you completed over 50 inspections? 250 inspections? If you have, but are still an Associate member, we hope you will consider getting your reports verified, taking the National Home Inspectors Exam and the ASHI Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics Education Module so you can move up to Associate with Logo Use.
Associates with Logo
If you currently are an Associate with Logo Use, please contact Sarah Walsh, sarahw@ashi.org, when you are getting close to your 250 inspections. She will send you an Affidavit of Completion.
Questions?
If you have questions about moving up in ASHI, call Sarah Walsh, ASHI membership manager, at 847-954-3180 or email her at sarahw@ashi.org.
CE audit wraps up: Get ready for September
Thank you to all the members who have responded to the continuing education audit email. The audit serves as a reminder that, in September, members are asked to complete and return a form reporting their continuing education. Members should obtain and keep documentation as they earn credits. If you have questions, contact Sarah Walsh, sarahw@ashi.org.
