Gulfstream ASHI Southeast Florida now delivers The Gulfstream Digest to its membership via email as a pdf file. In addition to a letter from President Joey Caballero, meeting minutes submitted by Vice President Tim Hamilton and announcements of future activities, the Digest
features technical information including a column and photographs from Jerry Peck and Chuck Finn’s word and definition knowledge test.
Media contacts abound in Great Lakes
The Great Lakes Chapter lists more than 80 media contacts in its public relations database, according to Chapter Public Relations Committee Chair James C. Dunsing. But that doesn’t stop him from asking for more contacts in his column in The Laker, the chapter’s newsletter. Along with the request, he reported the database had been used to distribute five press releases, representing a combination of ASHI national and chapter news. Jay Balin is the editor of the quarterly newsletter, which includes numerous technical articles as well as committee reports and chapter news activities.
Contractual issues considered appropriate dinner conversation in New England
“Contractual issues arising from the licensing of home inspectors in Commonwealth of Massachusetts and states of Rhode Island and Connecticut, and what home inspectors can do to protect themselves” was billed as the topic for the August meeting of ASHI-New England.
In The Inspector, the chapter newsletter, it was announced the speaker for the evening would be Steven J. Bolotin, who represents clients in litigation and administrative proceedings and is considered an expert on liability defense, insurance coverage, and contract negotiations and drafting
