ASHI President Ron Passaro noted that ASHI was “rapidly becoming a professional organization.” Three people were approved for provisional membership and one person was upgraded to full membership.

The second annual ASHI convention, to be held in New Brunswick, N.J., on January 18-21, 1979, was announced, as well as tentative plans for a third annual convention in south Florida.

A small, dedicated group of home inspectors formed ASHI in 1976. The dedication of the membership remains the cornerstone of the Society. As ASHI approaches the 30th anniversary next year, we’ll take a look back to see how we got here.<
