Bio
With a background in residential and commercial building maintenance and repairs combined with the best home inspector training, Tyson has an eye for identifying issues with major home systems. He spent years doing remodel work, commercial building maintenance, pool and spa inspections and repairs, and has run a successful handyman service since 2014. Tyson is a licensed general contractor in the state of California (currently inactive).
While working toward a BA in Communications (2007) Tyson focused on writing, photography and design; all crucial in developing clear, concise home inspection reports. He received a BA in Communication from the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND in 2007 and AS degree in Building Inspection and Construction Codes from Cabrillo College in Aptos, CA in 2021.
Tyson completed the ASHI School’s 120-hour home inspector course and passed the National Home Inspectors Exam (NHIE) in 2018.
Tyson provides pre-listing inspections for clients preparing to sell their properties and home maintenance inspections for owners interested in preventative maintenance for their primary residence, vacation properties and rental units.
Sellers benefit from pre-listing inspections because a thorough inspection report completes a disclosure package for potential buyers so they can submit best offers immediately. This strategy has gained popularity because it helps speed the sales process and prevents deals from falling through during the contingency period.
