Bio
Joseph A. Pasaturo PE is a New York State Licensed Professional Engineer and has been a member of ASHI since 1993.
He started AVT Engineering in 1989, a Brooklyn based firm that provides, home inspection, engineering & design services throughout the 5 Boroughs of NYC & Nassau County.
In his career, Mr. Pasaturo has inspected over 10000 homes and buildings. He has extensive experience in all aspects of home inspection, with a specialty in 100+ year old brownstone style homes.
Mr. Pasaturo has given numerous presentations on all aspects of home inspection and engineering. In 2005 he appeared nationwide on the "Today Show" as their expert home inspector.
Mr. Pasaturo was the first Chairman of the NYS Home Inspection Council and also serves as a Member of The NYS Board of Engineering & Land Surveying. He was the President of the NYS Society of Professional Engineers from 2020-2022. He is also on the Industrial Advisory Committee for the Engineering Department at the College of Staten Island.
Mr. Pasaturo holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from Embry-Riddle University and an MBA from St. Johns University.
He is also a NYS a NYS Licensed Termite Inspector.
