Bio

Dickey Inspection Group started doing business in teh fall of 2000. We offer home inspections to the DFW area in Texas and have proudly served over 11,100 clients over the years.

We offer on-site reports and free re-inspections of the repairs agreed to be completed by the seller.

I have authored a series of home maintenance books for homeowners to assist in the upkeep of their home. The book is called "Uncle Jim's Homeowners Manual" and is available on Amazon. The series consists of a maintenace manual for each of the seasons and includes a Seasonal Checklist at the back of each book.

Each of the books in the series cover items that need attention in a specific season of the year including foundation maintenance, exterior walls, interior walls, windows, doors, floors, roof, gutters, attic, HVAC systems, plumbing systems, electrical systems, overhead door operators, fireplaces, driveways and sidewalks, lawns, trees, shrubs, lawn sprinkler systems, pools and pool equipment, fences, outdoor living spaces, and pest control. The last four chapters in each book discuss the need to prepare and the steps to follow for seasonal weather preparedness, natural disaster preparedness and emergency situation preparedness, strategies for water conservation, and the importance of performing safety checks for each season.
