How the Bottom Line is Changing Residential Gas Systems

Traditionally, natural gas systems have been installed in homes by connecting rigid steel-threaded pipe and fittings. Though for decades black steel has been the most popular material used to carry out this work, many jurisdictions allow galvanized steel to be used as well. In recent years, the high labor costs required to install rigid pipe has motivated many contractors to switch to alternative piping materials.
