Bio

Along with construction being my career for the past 37 years, I have been fascinated with, and enjoyed learning how homes and their parts are built. I have been lucky to be involved with some spectacular projects; amazing executive homes as well as commercial projects like Sacramento City Hall and Facebook’s new headquarters. To me, home inspection seemed like a natural next step in my career path. I researched my options and found Pillar to Post, the largest home inspection company in North America, and bought a franchise. I went to training at Pillar to Post in Toronto and passed their course to become a certified home inspector. I know that being a home inspector means I am an integral part of what may be the largest financial decision of our client’s lives. I take this seriously. Being able to combine my experience with the Pillar to Post inspection system to deliver a fact-based home inspection that the buyer fully understands is very rewarding. I have been fortunate to turn this into a family business by including my wife Kathy to help manage the office an area she has had a lifelong career in. I have now been able bring on my son Matt. Matt brings with him 9 years’ experience as a journeyman carpenter and is also a certified Pillar to Post home inspector. My family has lived in northern California since my great grandfather moved to Jamestown in 1890. I have lived in the Sacramento area for the last 25 years, raised my family here and consider it
