Bio

I grew up working (from the age of 9) in a family business that provided Plumbing, Electrical, and HVAC contracting services. I was a Journeyman plumber and electrician at age 17. I learned many valuable lessons from my Dad during this experience. The most valuable lesson I learned was,"there is a right way to do the job and our customers depend on us to do nothing less" My father's words have echoed in my mind over the years. My inspection experience began in 2006 when my son was buying his first home. After viewing an inspectors report I had several unanswered questions about its findings. I did a "re-inspection" and found several crucial omissions including a failing copper water piping system and a foundation that was badly compromised by tree roots. After discussion with my son's Realtor,(the mother of a former student) she suggested I should consider a 2nd career in home inspections. Soon afterward I began working in the inspection industry while continuing my career as a high school teacher. I have had the trust of former students and their parents in providing inspections for their home purchases. Now that I have retired from teaching and relocated to N.Georgia, I would be pleased to have the opportunity to provide you the same level of care and trust I have provided them. I inspect swimming pools. I am currently available Saturdays or any time/date by request! I normally perform only two inspections daily to allow plenty of time for your inspection.
