Bio

Ernie Wood has experience in the construction industry for 45 years. In 1972 he became a licensed electrician. He has been employed by Edd Helms Electric for the past 39 years. Since his employment with Edd Helms Electric he has moved up from a licensed dade county electrical journeyman to supervising jobs, project managing and sales with the company. He has done work with the company in MI, CA, TX, OH, MA, AL and GA. He was born in Galveston TX and moved to Miami FL 9 years later. Ernie graduated from Carol City Senior High in 1966 and enlisted into the army where he served 2 years as a sergeant. He then attended the JATC Local #349 IBEW apprenticeship program for 4 years. He also attended a 1 year program for carpentry and electrical welding. Cooper City has been his home since 1979. Ernie is a proud family man, he has been married for 29 years and has 3 sons and 2 grandsons. He enjoys spending time with his family, doing projects around the house, fishing and playing golf. Since safety and family have always been his first priority, he wants to pursue his career in home and property inspections. Four words best described by his family and friends are Honest, Loyal, Dependable and Respected
