Glenn C Welch, Esq, PE is President and General Counsel of Welch Engineering located is Canton Georgia. Glenn is the only fully licensed Professional Inspector in the State of Georgia and has been in the Construction Industry for over 50 years. He started working for his Dad's small construction business (WeeDEG Construction) at the age of 12 years and served 4 years in the United States Navy as an Electrician aboard the aircraft carrier USS Wright CC-2 and the destroyer USS Lowry DD-770 during the Vietnam War. Glenn received his Engineering Degree and Law Degree under the GI Bill while he was working for Atlanta Gas Light Company, where he served as Technician, an Engineer and Manager. After retiring, he started Welch Engineering, performing Real Estate Inspections and Testing. Because the State of Georgia has no requirements to be an Home Inspector, it is truly a "Buyer Beware State" and prospective home buyers must be very careful when choosing an Inspector.
