Bio

Inspection Pros/BPG Scheduling: 877/838-5959 Originally from Michigan, I moved to California in 1987, and have lived in Alameda since 1995. My wife Charlene and I have 2 children in college, Ellie and Cooper who keep us on the run. Prior to my home inspection career, I did general construction, remodeling and building maintenance, and have spent the last 24 years exclusively doing home inspections. I have performed over 11,000 inspections, both residential and commercial, and I'm familiar with all types and era's of construction from Victorian to Mid-Century Modern to brand new. I'm an ASHI (American Society of Home Inspectors) member in good standing since 1995 - Member #201132 I focus primarily on the East Bay (Alameda and Contra Costa Counties), however I have performed inspections in San Francisco, Sacramento,San Jose and the surrounding areas, and am always happy to consider inspections, regardless of distance. I served on the Board of the Alameda Development Corporation (affordable housing advocacy group) for several years as their liaison to contractors, and have worked with Habitat for Humanity. I was also the featured inspector on several episodes of HGTV's House Detective. I love my job and take it very seriously, and take pride in helping people understand the intricacies of their property. Every day I help clients with the challenges of buying or selling a home by identifying, explaining and documenting the conditions of the property. At th
