Cleaning supplies are hard to come by these days as people try to stay healthy, but two local companies are making it easy for people to get these products.

UPDATE: While we have seen people struggle during the COVID-19 pandemic, we have also seen people come together for their community.

Last week, we told you about two local companies making a difference by giving away free cleaning supplies.

Employees with Chattanooga Home Inspector and Basement and Crawlspace Solutions have delivered 1,200 bottles of disinfectant to people in need.

Neil Scott, a business development manager at Chattanooga Home Inspector, said they wanted to find a way to give back to the community.

"We needed some cleaner and we went to the store and there was absolutely nothing so we thought how can we help, cleaner was the best thing we thought because we knew everyone was going to need it," said Scott.

He said the response from the community has been overwhelming.

"We've run out of bottles but we are offering Tuesday through Thursday from 10 to 2 to come to our new office at 5957 Dayton Blvd. and we will actually fill the bottles up that you bring at no charge," said Scott.

Scott said they have the ability to produce 7,000 gallons of disinfectant.

He said they plan to give away the disinfectant until they run out.

They are asking people to bring their own bottles to their warehouse on 5957 Dayton Boulevard and they will fill them up.
