The Examination Board of Professional Home Inspectors (EBPHI) recently announced the release of two new educational manuals to assist those entering the Home Inspection profession as well as those preparing to take the National Home Inspector Examination (NHIE).

A major change — instead of one large NHIE manual and study guide, home inspectors now have two volumes focused on core sections of the exam. Volume 1 covers Mechanical Systems and NHIE Content, while Volume 2 covers Structural Systems and Business.

The books retail for $129.50 each or $259.00 for the set. Bulk orders of 10 or more books are available on www.nationalhomeinspectorexam.org/resources.

Additionally, exam takers will have access to new and existing sample questions developed to show the types of material to expect in the exam on the NHIE website. To further aide in exam preparation, several new quizzes will be available online later this year.

The NHIE is required by most states that have licensing for home inspectors as well for membership in the American Society of Home Inspectors, the California Real Estate Inspection Association, the Hawaii Association of Home Inspectors, the Alberta Professional Home Inspectors Society, and the Canadian Association of Home & Property Inspectors.

For questions, please contact EBPHI at info@nationalhomeinspectorexam.org.
