Realtor Powerpoint Presentations for Member Use

Two PowerPoint presentations were created by home inspectors to educate realtors about home inspection and ASHI. These presentations are available to ASHI members. Here is an opportunity for chapters to provide resources and encourage good discussion to build and maintain relationships with realtors.

Speakers Directory List 9-15-16.pdf This list of talented professionals is THE place for chapter event planners to find the perfect speaker to match their needs. Check the list to find speakers who are experienced professionals and knowledgeable on a variety of topics.

ASHI Online Learning Center

Online modules may be used to deliver education in the chapter group setting. Modules are PowerPoint presentations with presenters narration videotaped at InspectionWorld. A wide variety of topics are available. Viewing does require Internet access. Chapter leader logs-in to site and projects module with LCD projector at meeting for group viewing. Be sure to have everyone sign-in on an attendance sheet. Certificates of attendance should be distributed. Attendees earn 2 ASHI Ces for classroom education.

Chapter Application for ASHI CE approval Complete and submit to Michele George, at or by fax (847) 759-1620. Submitted event information and link to chapter website will be placed on the Calendar of Events on and in the Reporter magazine if received by deadline.

Planning a Chapter Peer Inspection Review: PowerPoint presentation gives detailed explanation on how to plan a Peer Inspection Review for your chapter. Many chapters hold annual peer reviews and consider this to be the most valuable chapter event benefitting new and experienced inspectors.


An online training program on step ladders, extension/single ladders, articulated ladders, and mobile ladders is offered by The American Ladder Institute (ALI) in a series of four multi-media modules. Go to to use this free training resource to produce a one hour chapter educational program where attendees earn a total of one hour ASHI CE. Internet access is necessary.

A certificate of completion is available on the website once the post-training test has been completed and passed satisfactorily at 90% or higher. The test may be taken multiple times and works as a training exercise. Individuals may be enrolled and managed in the training process. Or the Chapter may elect to issue certificates of attendance for one ASHI CE hour to those attending the educational program.
